Charlotte, Charlie, Fletch (she answers to pretty much anything) brings an all-important non-designer’s eye to the team. She is, nonetheless, a fan of beautiful design in all its forms, a lover of great copy and the member of Rare Breed most likely to have quinoa for lunch.

Rare Breed in 4 words…
Creative, practical, fair, good banter (sorry, that’s five…)

If I hadn’t become a designer, I’d be…
Well – I’m not a designer! But my plan B would be a florist or something furniture-y

My dream project would be…
Any project where we can make a difference, feel part of the team and create something that everyone is proud of

My design superpower is…
Sadly no superpowers – I am Robin to the design team’s Batman

Most likely to say…
Do you have a budget in mind for that? (A question that almost never gets answered)

Least likely to say…
Why don’t we just leave it until the day before? (I feel anxious just saying the words!)

Most memorable client moment
Our first online pitch during the pandemic involved every single person in the client team turning off their camera, leaving us pitching to a sea of teeny blank screens – memorable for all the wrong reasons…

Proudest Rare Breed moment…
It’s difficult to pick one – lots of things make me proud – happy clients, awards recognition, winning new business

My ambition for Rare Breed is…
World domination – or failing that, lots of the dream projects outlined above

If we could be based anywhere else in the world instead of London, it would be…
Copenhagen – design heaven. Let’s ignore the fact that none of us speak Danish (unless that’s one of Rob’s five languages?!)

The pandemic has taught us…
To embrace big change

My biggest design inspiration is…
William Morris’s philosophy of having nothing “that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful” is pretty hard to argue with

Not a lot of people know….
No secrets here – I am an open book…

After work on Friday, I am most likely to…
Have a G&T

Never trust a designer who says…
I’ve only met trustworthy designers!

Good design is…
Worth every penny!
